We are living in a consumer driven world.
Corporations took over family businesses, skyscrapers replaced houses, pets replaced children…
Convenience and affordability!
As you know by now I’ve lived through Communism, Socialism, Democracy and Monarchy. In less than 40 years!
You also know that I won’t be supporting Bernie Sanders or Alexandra Ocasio Cortez. If anything I would try help them find good mental help because to me they seem dangerously delusional.
Relax, the world won’t end in 12yrs!
Since “The Green New Deal” is something we now talk about, I would put my fair share into the conversation.
I like people who take personal responsibility. I don’t like a government that decides for me…
Instead of spending many trillions over the amount of the National debt to achieve greener world I would challenge every individual to take the matter in their hands.
Let’s try pay off the debt instead of digging a bigger hole.
We don’t want to become the next Greece. The ancient Greeks invented the democracy, the modern Greeks tried to invent “borrow and never return debts”.
Sounds good, but it didn’t work for them and it won’t work for us now.
Here is a list of small and easy solutions that would result in prosperity for all people that is driven by the people.
You know that I am allergic to the small man syndrome and it’s manifestation of permanent wining and victim consciousness.
No one owes you anything, earn it. You want a cleaner world, build it!
Before blaming the government and asking the government to fix everything for us, lets see what We, The People can do.
Simple Rules for a Thriving Green Society
1. Don’t waste- Minimalism is becoming more popular and you can find a ton of information on how to live with less.

For many years acquiring possessions was a sign of wealth and abundance. Unless you have a problem with your ego, it should be fairly easy to stop buying all that crap.
Being a minimalist is totally in now!
2. Resell or give away what you don’t need- Platforms like “LetGo” and “OfferUp” are the perfect venue to get rid of things you no longer need.
3. Buy from people not from websites! If you know that a person represents a brand, buy from a person. If you don’t know anyone ask or google it. Most sales jobs are commission based, you want a bigger minimum wage, don’t you? Don’t give your dollar to a corporation or a foreign entity. Stay local if possible. Someones child needs college, someone needs to pay for medical or just to put food on the table. That way everyone in the community gives back to the community.
4. Buy products from crafty people vs companies that mass produce a product. Even if the business is on somewhat larger scale, as long as it is family owned, you know you are helping an individual not a corporation. If you give individuals enough business, the prices will stay affordable. Etsy and the local farmers market are great places to look for stuff.
5. Buy local produce, if possible Organic. Let’s kill the demand for cheap toxic food. You will actually thrive and live longer if you eat less too, so don’t be stingy when it comes to quality food.
6. I don’t want to sound like AOC but she is right about the farting cows. Let them all run free. The animal protein (all kinds) creates acidic environment in your system and inflammation. That is the perfect condition for diseases especially cancers. I don’t get my information from Instagram. I have researched the topic for more than 10yrs. Tones of evidence. Wouldn’t you like it better if pain and horror wasn’t part of the equation for our food, shoes, bags, belts etc. ? Wouldn’t you like it if you didn’t have to go to the doctor ever so often? I would, but I’ll leave that decision up to the individual, not the government. We are all like little children, we need to experience the contrast in order to learn to distinguish good from bad and right from wrong. You don’t have to give up anything overnight, every little helps and in time when you create new habits, you won’t even miss the old ways.
7. Save water- Clean water is a privilege of the first world countries, don’t waste it.There are many ways to use gray water for example. Check out this sink from Home Depot!
With regards to food production this will be a very informative article to read: https://www.google.com/amp/s/phys.org/news/2011-01-footprints-animal-proteins.amp
8. Use sharing platforms like Airbnb and Turo. The service you’ll receive will be more personable and more affordable. Remember to leave reviews too so others will know what the real value of a product is. Give back to society.
9. Switch to reusable items for the household. There are reusable kitchen towels, ziplock bags, organic disposable food wraps etc.

I am obsessed with my bidet toilet seat, no more toilet paper. And yes, use a soap and a towel! The bidet was invented in the 17th century in France, but we know that the ancient Egyptians and the Romans washed! “We don’t smudge, we wash!” how about that for a green new habit!

10. Keep reusable shopping bags in your car and… use them. Share #10 with AOC and keep having children!
11. Prepare your lunch and get a coffee maker for your office. Of course you will need reusable tapestry, a cutlery set and straws too. It will save you money and it may improve your health if you choose to cook healthy.
12. Share a ride- invite a coworker who lives in your area to share a ride, you can split the cost of the trip. Going out with friends? Share a ride!
13. Buy an electric vehicle- a car or a scooter would be great. The used electric cars market is more than affordable now, especially in the states. You can get one for $5000-$10000 with low mileage and often times still within the manufacturer warranty. With all the rebates available in California, that’s the place to look for your next car. I got mine here: https://www.pluginauto.com Ask for Freddy 😉

14. Solar panels- that is still greatly unaffordable and unpractical, but in some situations you may benefit from a solar system and if that works for you, great!
15. Finally remember that someone, somewhere at least once in your lifetime helped you with something. Give back to the society by making it a point to do good deeds every day!
