Merry Christmas World!

On this Christmas day I have received many Christmas wishes. And many ”Happy Holidays” instead, because the mention of Christmas is becoming somewhat controversial.

I am again reminded that I am in America, hooray! Except that America is a land built by the founding fathers on Judeo-Christian values. Really important to remember is who you are and remember your history!

Diversity is a beautiful thing, God created us all equal and with maturity we can continue building a country of peace and understanding that can serve as an example for the rest of the world.

In God We Trust” is the official motto of the United States of America. It is invoked four times in the Declaration of independence.

July 30, 1956, President Eisenhower declared “In God We Trust” must appear on American currency.

Like the president, I also ask myself how then we stopped saying Merry Christmas in public!?!

How did that become offensive to people? Let’s talk religion!

Oh, no, she didn’t!

Oh, Yes, I did!

I can no longer be white because if I’m white I must be a racist or a white supremacist. You see if I was any other color that would be out of question…

I can no longer be a Christian because that offends other religions.

Am I becoming the suppressed minority?

I could say that, if I was to adopt the popular victim consciousness. But I wouldn’t.

Instead, I would share my point of view.

Religion is a sensitive topic and I will talk about it. Because while we promote every kind of diversity, we somehow ban diversity of thought.

Here are my thoughts for you, diverse nation….

It would be nice if our differences did not divide us, if we could have the maturity to co-exist in the land of freedom.

And that is indeed possible when clear understanding, laws and rules are laid from the get go.

As a Christian I have spent a decade of my life living in a muslim country.

I felt safe and welcomed there.

Being a young woman with Christian upbringing I understood very well that I was a humble guest in their kingdom and I was to respect their rules.

That experience contributed tremendously to expanding my horizons, knowledge and world views. It is a huge building block of the person I became. I’ve learned how to live in a multicultural environment peacefully. How to respect others regardless of the vast gap in ideology. I have been humbled by the kindness and innocence of the elders there. By their love for God and family.

I wouldn’t have been able to integrate myself so easily if I haven’t  been made to understand very clearly from the moment I laid a foot in their doorsteps, that every person of every religion is welcomed there as long as…

You understand who we are, you respect our culture and religion and you practice your beliefs in private. If you offend our religion and traditions in public, you may be put in jail and/or deported (I was lucky to live in a state free of Death Penalty).

A message every foreign national gets once welcomed in.

Like in the US, they did not interfere with my right to worship, but gave me a perspective of what my new found home is all about.

In addition to their strong Muslim culture, they also have strong laws and for the most part that country has very low levels of crime.

It almost reminds me of a trip to Indonesia many years back.

As I walked through the airport, excited about my vacation in beautiful Indonesia, I was welcomed by a big banner ”Welcome to Indonesia, Death Penalty for Drug Traffickers”.

Plain and simple!

Once a country makes their laws and national priorities clear, you are the one responsible to make the decision IN or OUT!

There is no such clear cut in America. And there is the trouble.

And what did Obama just said there?

America has let the Trojan horse in a long time ago!

While the  Judeo-Christian ideas are very friendly, some of the imported religions are hostile and seen by their practitioners as superior. Read that again! They see themselves as a superior to you because of their religion. If you do not believe me, please send your daughters to Afghanistan on vacation, instead of sending your troops. They will have the times of their lives. Then you may get it once and for all.

Here we have grown to be overly sensitive towards everything to the point that everyone feels like a victim. To a point where we can’t speak the truth because the truth is always hard and always offensive to somebody.

We keep importing not only the immigrants who want to be here because they like the way this country is. We let everybody in because we fear that we may be labeled as bad people or God forbid, shhhhh… racist!

What most Americans fail to understand is that we don’t import multiculturalism, we import mono cultures who continue to hate each other just as they do in their home countries.

Countries that represent a third of the world that is a horrible, hostile, nasty place to be in.

Today I will, while I still can, celebrate Christmas and I will not forget to thank the President for reminding us what values this country has been built on.

Merry Christmas everyone!
